Kompass Diagnostics today announced that Navo Health, the company’s wholly owned South Korean subsidiary, has been selected for the Tech Incubator Program for Startups (TIPS), a highly competitive technology commercialization program supported by the Korean Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS).

The TIPS program provides approximately ₩500 million (US$349,000) in commercialization funding and support to high-potential deep technology startups. The program is designed to accelerate the development and commercialization of innovative technologies with global market potential.

The award recognizes Navo Health’s role in advancing Kompass Diagnostics’ proprietary electrical biosensing platform for rapid quantitative diagnostics. Developed by Kompass Diagnostics, the platform replaces conventional optical detection with direct electrical measurement of biochemical reactions, enabling laboratory-quality testing in a compact, portable format.

Funding through the TIPS program will support continued development of Kompass’ first commercial application: rapid hormone testing for fertility care. The company’s initial product is designed to provide quantitative estradiol, progesterone, and luteinizing hormone results within minutes at the point of care, helping fertility clinics reduce laboratory turnaround times and improve patient workflow.

“Selection for the TIPS program is an important validation of both our technology platform and our commercialization strategy,” said Mingoo Kim, Co-founder and CEO of Kompass Diagnostics. “We’re grateful for the support of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and our TIPS operating partner. This award strengthens our ability to advance development across both the U.S. and South Korea as we move toward clinical validation and commercialization.”

Navo Health serves as Kompass Diagnostics’ South Korean commercialization subsidiary, supporting research collaborations, strategic partnerships, and commercialization activities in the Korean market while working closely with the company’s headquarters in Chicago.
