Hyouarm is a pioneer in diagnostics research and a serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in translating innovative ideas into products. He led the commercialization of Korea's first home lipid monitor, LipidPro™, taking the technology from lab research through commercial manufacturing, FDA approval, and market launch at Osang Healthcare (KOSDAQ:036220). As a project scientist at UCLA, he led the development of the xVFA platform, an AI-powered diagnostic system capable of measuring up to 80 biomarkers simultaneously, to advance next-generation point of care tests for Lyme Disease and cardiovascular disorders. He is an inventor on more than 80 patents and has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers, cited over 2,200 times, with an h-index of 22. He holds a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering and a PhD in Physics and Photo Science from Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology.
